This dataset contains information on 404 Centros infantiles del Buen Vivir (CIBVs), Ecuador's primary providers of public child care services for infant and toddlers at the time of data collection in 2012. In 2012, The Inter-American Development Bank administered a battery of widely-used instruments to measure the quality of child care services in the CIBVs, including four internationally-recognized quality instruments that were then adapted for use in Ecuador.

The OLAS/SCL Household Survey Data Set contains 47 water and sanitation related indicators generated from microdata from national household surveys throughout the region. The data set contains information from 2003-2022 for 22 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Indicators are provided in terms of household percentage and total households that fall into each category, and can be broken down by various socioeconomic dimensions, including area (urban or rural community), income quintile, migratory status, ethnicity, and disability status. This dataset is the result of a collaboration between INE/WSA and SCL, and is a subset of the larger IDB SCL Indicators dataset.

This dataset contains information on Programa Nacional Cuna Más (Cuna Mas, hereinafter), Peru’s largest early childhood development program established in 2012. It focuses on one of the two services provided by Cuna Mas known as Servicio de Cuidado Diurno, a daycare service in marginalized urban areas that provides comprehensive care to children aged 6 to 36 months. Data were collected between November 2013 and January 2014 by the Inter-American Development Bank. The objective of the study was to estimate the association between caregiver quality and the development of very young children (6 to 24 months).

At the IDBG Annual Meeting in 2016, the Board of Governors resolved to endorse the goal of increasing the financing of climate change related projects in LAC to 30% of the IDB’s and IIC’s combined total approvals operations by 2020, subject to demand from borrowing countries and clients and access to external sources of concessional financing.

During 2017, the IDB Group invested approximately US$4.3 billion in climate finance; that is, in development activities carried out by the public and private sectors that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and thus mitigate climate change, and/or that reduce vulnerability to climate change and contribute to an adaptation process. This amount represented 28.5% of the IDB Group’s total approvals.

LAC is the most water-rich region in the world by most metrics; however, water resource distribution throughout the region does not correspond demand. To understand water risk throughout the region, this dataset provides population and land area estimates for factors related to water risk, allowing users to explore vulnerability throughout the region to multiple dimensions of water risk.

This dataset contains estimates of populations living in areas of water stress and risk in 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at the municipal level. The dataset contains categories of 18 factors related to water risk and 39 indices of water risk and population estimates within each with aggregations possible at the basin, state, country, and regional level.

The population data used to generate this dataset were obtained from the WorldPop project 2020 UN-adjusted population projections, while estimates of water stress and risk come from WRI’s Aqueduct 3.0 Water Risk Framework. Municipal administrative boundaries are from the Database of Global Administrative Areas (GADM). This dataset is the result of an experiment conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and published as the book "A Better World for Migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean". This project is joint work between the IDB and UNDP. The databases contain data collected for the impact evaluation of an intervention designed to explore which mechanisms are more effective in changing people's beliefs and attitudes toward migrants. The experiment was conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and consisted of two video interventions. The first video, the informative video, aimed to correct misinformation about the impact of migration by providing accurate information about the size of the migrant population and its characteristics. The second video, an emotive video, intended to appeal to the emotions and empathy of the local population.

The document summarizes the results of a new citizen satisfaction survey on digital public services in Brazil. It shows that the Brazilian population is connected and considers itself well adapted to the digital world, even with foreseeable inequalities of age, level of formal education and income. It aimed to collect information about the adaptation of citizens to the digital world, their level of perceived connectivity and internet use and their assessment of the quality of digital services in the public sector (focusing on the state level, but also with questions about the federal and municipal levels) and the private sector, among other topics.

Data associated with the IDB Publication "Grandmothers and the Gender Gap in the Mexican Labor Market".

The ENOE is the largest household survey conducted in Mexico, and it is superior to administrative data in this context because it includes both the formal and informal sectors of the economy. Its data collection occurs quarterly in a rotating panel format with five observations per household. The ENOE data in this paper spans Q1 of 2005 to Q1 of 2020, a total of 61 surveys (one per quarter). Each survey visits approximately 120,000 households. The survey's demographics section includes information on every member of the household, such as their relationship to the head of household, gender, education, marital status, reason for not living in the household anymore (after the first survey), access to health care, employment, income, and hours worked.
