This benchmarking index is a learning tool that evaluates the legal, regulatory and operating environments for Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in transport, water/sanitation and electricity infrastructure for 19 Latin American and Caribbean countries. The analysis and scores in the model provide a comparable assessment of individual countries' readiness and facility for PPP project design and implementation. For the purpose of this index, PPP refers specifically to projects which involve a long-term contract between a public-sector body and a private-sector entity for the design, construction (or upgrading), operation and maintenance of public infrastructure; with finance usually provided by, and significant construction, operation and maintenance risks transferred to, the private-sector, which also bears either availability or demand risk; but with the public sector remaining responsible for policy oversight and regulation; and the infrastructure generally reverting to public-sector control at the end of the contract term.

This set comprises the data collected to inform the 2016 Cybersecurity Report entitled Cybersecurity Are we ready in Latin America and the Caribbean?, result of the collaboration between the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Organization of American States (OAS), and the Global Cyber Security Capacity Centre (GCSCC) at the University of Oxford. It was collected through an online survey based on the Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (CMM) developed by the GCSCC and translated into two languages (English and Spanish). After a piloting stage, the survey was administered to a wide cross-section of national stakeholders in 32 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The responses received were aggregated, reviewed, cleaned and complimented with additional sources of information.

This dataset covers a Nationally Representative Sample of the Suriname population. It measures all main aspects of living conditions and reports consumption based poverty rates. The survey was executed between January and December 2022 (12 full months of fieldwork).

This dataset is the result of an experiment conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and published as the book "A Better World for Migrants in Latin America and the Caribbean". This project is joint work between the IDB and UNDP. The databases contain data collected for the impact evaluation of an intervention designed to explore which mechanisms are more effective in changing people's beliefs and attitudes toward migrants. The experiment was conducted in nine countries in Latin America and the Caribbean and consisted of two video interventions. The first video, the informative video, aimed to correct misinformation about the impact of migration by providing accurate information about the size of the migrant population and its characteristics. The second video, an emotive video, intended to appeal to the emotions and empathy of the local population.

This database provides information on the currency and maturity structure of firm liabilities for 10 Latin American Countries. The database builds on a joint project carried out by the research department of the IADB and 6 country teams in 2002. Country average data is available for immediate download in excel format below. This set comprises the data collected to inform the Discussion Paper: Advanced Experiences in Cybersecurity Policies and Practices- an Overview of Estonia, Israel, South Korea and the United States, result of the collaboration between Dr. James A. Lewis from the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The data is based on the Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (CMM) jointly developed by the Organization of American States (OAS), the Inter-American Development Bank and the Global Cyber Security Capacity Center (GCSCC) at the University of Oxford and it supports the structured assessment of these four countries cybersecurity experiences and the lessons learned derived from them. This data set compliments the 2016 Cyber Security Report Data Set published in April 2016.

En 2012 el BID aprobó un proyecto para apoyar la preparación de un sistema integral de transporte colectivo para la zona metropolitana de La Paz y El Alto. El proyecto comprendió estudios técnicos, legales, económicos, sociales y ambientales. Un componente fue una encuesta de movilidad urbana que constituye la fuente principal de datos para el presente análisis. Dentro de este marco reunimos información sobre los patrones de viaje y características socioeconómicas de los residentes, en junio y julio de 2015. Para obtener datos comparables y determinar los viajes más comunes, tales como de la casa al lugar de trabajo o la escuela y de regreso, recogimos datos de las 6 p.m. a las 9 p.m. en días laborables y fines de semana. La muestra fue recogida a nivel sub-distrital (manzanos) para cubrir los distritos de La Paz y El Alto, siguiendo un proceso de selección aleatorio (ver Anexo 2 para más detalles). Un total de 6,720 habitantes de La Paz (4,208) y El Alto (2,512) fueron entrevistados de entre un total de 6,208 hogares (3,892 y 2,316 en La Paz y El Alto respectivamente).
