The "Database of suburban railways in Latin America" collects 56 indicators and benchmarks of suburban passenger railways, contained in 11 major themes. This information allows, on the one hand, to understand the dimension and characteristics of the level of activity of each of them, and on the other, through benchmarks, to know the operational-financial efficiency of their performance when compared with their peer railways.

LAC is the most water-rich region in the world by most metrics; however, water resource distribution throughout the region does not correspond demand. To understand water risk throughout the region, this dataset provides population and land area estimates for factors related to water risk, allowing users to explore vulnerability throughout the region to multiple dimensions of water risk.
This dataset contains estimates of populations living in areas of water stress and risk in 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at the municipal level. The dataset contains categories of 18 factors related to water risk and 39 indices of water risk and population estimates within each with aggregations possible at the basin, state, country, and regional level.
The population data used to generate this dataset were obtained from the WorldPop project 2020 UN-adjusted population projections, while estimates of water stress and risk come from WRI’s Aqueduct 3.0 Water Risk Framework. Municipal administrative boundaries are from the Database of Global Administrative Areas (GADM). For more information on the methodology users are invited to read IADB Technical Note IDB-TN-2411: “Scarcity in the Land of Plenty”, and WRIs “Aqueduct 3.0: Updated Decision-relevant Global Water Risk Indicators”.

Data associated with the IDB Publication "Grandmothers and the Gender Gap in the Mexican Labor Market".
The ENOE is the largest household survey conducted in Mexico, and it is superior to administrative data in this context because it includes both the formal and informal sectors of the economy. Its data collection occurs quarterly in a rotating panel format with five observations per household. The ENOE data in this paper spans Q1 of 2005 to Q1 of 2020, a total of 61 surveys (one per quarter). Each survey visits approximately 120,000 households. The survey's demographics section includes information on every member of the household, such as their relationship to the head of household, gender, education, marital status, reason for not living in the household anymore (after the first survey), access to health care, employment, income, and hours worked.

Data associated with the IDB Publication "Grandmothers and the Gender Gap in the Mexican Labor Market".
ENESS data is available for 2009, 2013, and 2017. As an accompanying module of the ENOE, it covers all the households covered by the ENOE for two out of the three months in the quarter. Hence, the ENESS covers roughly two-thirds of the ENOE sample for the quarter. The ENESS data includes responses from 209,266 households. These households use public and private daycare providers for 3,991 and 1,177 children under seven years old

This database compiles up-to-date standardized statistics on sovereign debt issuances for the LAC region and contains bi-annual data starting in 2006 through to 2021. Sovereign Debt Data is classified by legislation, creditor, currency and maturity amongst others for 26 countries. The availability of valid, comparable, and standardized public debt data is essential for the implementation of sound policies in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). This is why at the core of the LAC Debt Group initiative is the development of a standardized sovereign debt database to help debt managers, policy makers, and other actors of financial markets analyze the evolution and composition of public debt in LAC and conduct cross-country comparisons. The information of this database is provided by the public debt offices of LAC countries in response to a questionnaire specifically designed to allow comparability of data. The questionnaire, whose response is non-compulsory, is intended to compile up-to-date standardized statistics for objective and homogeneous definitions of public debt.

This dataset contains information on 404 Centros infantiles del Buen Vivir (CIBVs), Ecuador's primary providers of public child care services for infant and toddlers at the time of data collection in 2012. In 2012, The Inter-American Development Bank administered a battery of widely-used instruments to measure the quality of child care services in the CIBVs, including four internationally-recognized quality instruments that were then adapted for use in Ecuador.

This dataset contains longitudinal data collected on child development outcomes, child characteristics, and parental and home characteristics on 937 children living in a representative sample of low- and low-middle-income households in Bogota, Colombia. The first round of data was collected in 2011 when 1,311 children ages 6-42 months were given the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development (Bayley-III) by psychologists and were randomized to receive one of two batteries of short tests under survey conditions. In 2016, at 6-8 years, 940 of these children were found and given tests of IQ (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, WISC-V) and school achievement (arithmetic, reading, and vocabulary) by psychologists. These 937 children, excluding outliers, constitute the analysis sample of the paper Predictive validity in middle childhood of short tests of early childhood development used in large scale studies compared to the Bayley-III, the Family Care Indicators, height-for-age, and stunting: A longitudinal study in Bogota, Colombia by Marta Rubio-Codina and Sally Grantham-McGregor, forthcoming at PLOS ONE. The dataset was anonymized to protect subject privacy. Variable names and their labels are noted in the data description 2011-2016.xlsx at: https://idbg.sharepoint.com/teams/EZ-CO-TCP/CO-T1419/_layouts/15/DocIdRedir.aspx?ID=EZSHARE-1012859252-8

At the IDBG Annual Meeting in 2016, the Board of Governors resolved to endorse the goal of increasing the financing of climate change related projects in LAC to 30% of the IDB’s and IIC’s combined total approvals operations by 2020, subject to demand from borrowing countries and clients and access to external sources of concessional financing.
During 2018, the IDB Group invested approximately US$5 billion in climate finance; that is, in development activities carried out by the public and private sectors that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and thus mitigate climate change, and/or that reduce vulnerability to climate change and contribute to an adaptation process. This amount represented 27% of the IDB Group’s total approvals.
Please note that only data from IDB and IDB Lab are available in this dataset.
