At the IDBG Annual Meeting in 2016, the Board of Governors resolved to endorse the goal of increasing the financing of climate change related projects in LAC to 30% of the IDB’s and IIC’s combined total approvals operations by 2020, subject to demand from borrowing countries and clients and access to external sources of concessional financing.
During 2017, the IDB Group invested approximately US$4.3 billion in climate finance; that is, in development activities carried out by the public and private sectors that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and thus mitigate climate change, and/or that reduce vulnerability to climate change and contribute to an adaptation process. This amount represented 28.5% of the IDB Group’s total approvals.

This dataset contains information on Programa Nacional Cuna Más (Cuna Mas, hereinafter), Peru’s largest early childhood development program established in 2012. It focuses on one of the two services provided by Cuna Mas known as Servicio de Cuidado Diurno, a daycare service in marginalized urban areas that provides comprehensive care to children aged 6 to 36 months. Data were collected between November 2013 and January 2014 by the Inter-American Development Bank. The objective of the study was to estimate the association between caregiver quality and the development of very young children (6 to 24 months).

Dataset related to the publication "Transformacao Digital dos Governos Brasileiros Satisfacao dos Cidados com os Serviços Públicos Digitais". The document summarizes the results of a new citizen satisfaction survey on digital public services in Brazil. It shows that the Brazilian population is connected and considers itself well adapted to the digital world, even with foreseeable inequalities of age, level of formal education and income. It aimed to collect information about the adaptation of citizens to the digital world, their level of perceived connectivity and internet use and their assessment of the quality of digital services in the public sector (focusing on the state level, but also with questions about the federal and municipal levels) and the private sector, among other topics.

It focuses on one of the two services provided by Cuna Mas known as Servicio de Acompanamiento a Familias (SAF), a home visiting program that operates in rural areas and provides one-hour weekly home visits to children aged 0-36 months and their caregiver.
The objective of the study was to compare different instruments to measure the quality of home visiting programs. Between August and October 2015, three instruments were administered to a sample of 554 children enrolled in Cuna Mas and receiving home visits at the time of data collection, and on their 176 home visitors who regularly work with 80 supervisors.
The following quality instruments were administered:
• Home Visit Rating Scale, version A+2 (HOVRS; Roggman et al. 2010)
• Home Visit Content and Characteristics Form (HVCCF; Boller et al. 2009)
• A supervisor checklist
• Home Visit Rating Scale, version A+2 (HOVRS; Roggman et al. 2010)
• Home Visit Content and Characteristics Form (HVCCF; Boller et al. 2009)
• A supervisor checklist
The first two quality instruments are widely used among home visiting services in the United States. For each child in the sample, one home visit was filmed and the videos were later coded to create the scores, following the instruments’ manuals. The checklist, on the other hand, was designed based on record forms used by Cuna Mas and other home visiting programs in low- and middle- income countries, and was administered live during the visit by the home visitor’s supervisor.
The final, multilevel dataset includes:
• 554 visits with an identical number of distinct children
• 176 home visitors
• 80 supervisors •

LAC is the most water-rich region in the world by most metrics; however, water resource distribution throughout the region does not correspond demand. To understand water risk throughout the region, this dataset provides population and land area estimates for factors related to water risk, allowing users to explore vulnerability throughout the region to multiple dimensions of water risk.
This dataset contains estimates of populations living in areas of water stress and risk in 27 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) at the municipal level. The dataset contains categories of 18 factors related to water risk and 39 indices of water risk and population estimates within each with aggregations possible at the basin, state, country, and regional level.
The population data used to generate this dataset were obtained from the WorldPop project 2020 UN-adjusted population projections, while estimates of water stress and risk come from WRI’s Aqueduct 3.0 Water Risk Framework. Municipal administrative boundaries are from the Database of Global Administrative Areas (GADM). For more information on the methodology users are invited to read IADB Technical Note IDB-TN-2411: “Scarcity in the Land of Plenty”, and WRIs “Aqueduct 3.0: Updated Decision-relevant Global Water Risk Indicators”.

This dictionary provides a comprehensive list of all the indicators generated by the social sector of the Inter-American Development Bank. The indicators are obtained from multiple sources such as household surveys, population censuses and external sources. It covers areas including education, health, labour, poverty, social protection, and gender, among others. Each indicator is defined, with information about the collection they belong to, the theme, and the value type. Data associated with the IDB Publication "Grandmothers and the Gender Gap in the Mexican Labor Market".
The ENOE is the largest household survey conducted in Mexico, and it is superior to administrative data in this context because it includes both the formal and informal sectors of the economy. Its data collection occurs quarterly in a rotating panel format with five observations per household. The ENOE data in this paper spans Q1 of 2005 to Q1 of 2020, a total of 61 surveys (one per quarter). Each survey visits approximately 120,000 households. The survey's demographics section includes information on every member of the household, such as their relationship to the head of household, gender, education, marital status, reason for not living in the household anymore (after the first survey), access to health care, employment, income, and hours worked.

The "Database of suburban railways in Latin America" collects 56 indicators and benchmarks of suburban passenger railways, contained in 11 major themes. This information allows, on the one hand, to understand the dimension and characteristics of the level of activity of each of them, and on the other, through benchmarks, to know the operational-financial efficiency of their performance when compared with their peer railways.
